Maseru- The contract of Zimbabwean judge, Justice Charles Hungwe who presided over the case in which nine soldiers are accused of the murder of the former army chief, Lieutenant General Maaparankoe Mahao comes to an end on 31 March, 2022.
This is after the Judicial Service Commission gave him an extension last year after it ended on 31st October.
Justice Hungwe was recruited in 2019 by the government and the JSC with his salary being paid by the European Union, which has since said it was prepared to pay for as long as it takes until the cases at hand have been finalised.
