Basotho Liberation Movement (BLM) leader ’Mapuleng Montši was on Thursday evening arrested and locked up at the police headquarters holding cells in Maseru for failure to appear before court on charges of fraud and corruption.
She stands accused of having solicited money for jobs in the Ministry of Home Affairs’ National Civil Registry and Identity department, thus defrauding scores of unemployed nationals.
Montši is expected to appear before the Maseru Magistrate court today.
Directorate of Corruption and Economic Offences Spokesperson Mrs. ‘Matlhokomelo Senoko has since confirmed the arrest as they are the ones handling the case.
