MASERU – Former army Commander General Tlali Kamoli who remains on trial in custody, has filed an urgent application in the High court, requesting a two hours’ compassionate leave so that he can attend his son, Thabelo’, funeral over the weekend.
31 year old Thabelo passed away on 12 July after a short illness. Kamoli’s fate will be sealed tomorrow after the court hears his case.
In his affidavit, Kamoli has promised not to flee as he even handed himself over to the police prior his arrest in 2017. He said it’s been five years since he was arrested and yet he remains on trial and all that he is asking for is two hours to attend his son’s funeral.
The service will be held at Ha-Leqele in Maseru.
