Socialist Revolutionary leader Advocate Teboho Mojapela says Lesotho is a lawless state.
This he said when addressing mourners at a funeral of one of his members, Ntahli Maputle at Boleka in Mafeteng on Saturday.
He however said it was of grave concern that day in and out Basotho were killing one another in all brutal ways possible because there is “lawlessness and no order” in the country.
He enlisted more than four people who had been killed in different parts of the country since last week, some of which are yet to be buried.
“Our country has failed under our watch and no one can deny that. Only last week two women were killed, one strangled and another was stabbed.”
He said politicians had gone out of their way to lie to the electorates by enticing them with what they label developments and yet they were being bribed, and their lives were not valued. You here at Kolo are very lucky because you have electricity in every house hold and this in actual fact is not politics per se but bribery.
“Real politics is about the safety and valuing of lives. You should not let politicians lie to you while they don’t value your lives by ensuring that there are jobs and everyone is safe. Let’s all look for leadership in people who fear the Lord like this woman who took a stand to be counted for a better Lesotho that we all want. This country is lawless and everyone has to be answerable for their deeds.
He said there is no way how investors can come into the country when there is so much corruption happening and everyone has to take part in doing away with this ill practice.
