MASERU- Habofanoe Lephuthela Ntsie, the notorious camera man who fled from justice in 2004 facing a possible life sentence for double murder of Habaka Mahao and Souru Masupha is back in town.
The fugitive was today extradited and handed over to Lesotho authorities by the South African authorities at Maseru Bridge.
Accompanied by heavily armed South African Police and Interpol officers, Ntsie (62) was wearing a navy blue Pringle cap, holding a half eaten loaf of white bread and a bottle of water on the other.
Upon alighting he was shackled at the ankles and had a very tiny travel bag with very few clothes in it, all of which he was asked to identify and verify as his by the Interpol officers. From the car he was taken to the health port at the border to get tested for Covid-19 then whisked away to the High court where his bail was revoked by Justice ’Maseforo Mahase.
He is to remain in prison custody till he has secured himself a lawyer; only then his next date of remand will be communicated.
