MASERU- Some youth who rallied in a march to petition Prime Minister Moeketsi Majoro for review of Members of Parliament’s M5,000 petrol allowances have been arrested by the police.
This was confirmed by police spokesperson Senior Superintendent Mpiti Mopeli, who said more details were to follow.
“First there were two arrests, but now it seems there are more who have also been arrested. Details are still sketchy.”
The arrests come after a stern warning issued by police yesterday evening that anyone who attended such march would be dealt with accordingly as there was no permit application to that effect.
This is a developing story.
